Santa’s Favorite Cookies Contest
If St. Nick leaves no crumbs on your cookie plate, you’ll want to enter this recipe contest.
Is leaving Santa a plate of cookies part of your Christmas Eve tradition? If so, we want to know which festive treats get Kris Kringle’s stamp of approval. You know, the ones that vanish in a dusting of crumbs by morning.
So, while visions of the holidays are still dancing in our heads, we’re asking for your favorite Christmas cookie recipes. (Sorry, this means no everyday cookie-jar cookies—like oatmeal or chocolate chip—or bars, brownies and candies.)
We’ll consider your Christmas classics, handed down from one generation of sweet tooths to the next, or your fabulous new recipes that have everyone merrily munching.
The list of Christmas favorites is endless: gingerbread, holiday shortbread, traditional linzer cookies, tasty fruitcake cookies, easy slice-and-bake refrigerator cookies, meringue kisses, candied-cherry macaroons, buttery spritz and many more!
The deadline for entering “Santa’s Favorite Cookies” contest is May 1, 2007. We’ll be judging recipes this summer and will feature winners in the December/ January 2008 issue so you can enjoy them next Christmas!
So, get in the holiday spirit again. Review your recipes and add to our Christmas cookie wonderland.
Great Prizes!
The Grand Prize winner will get to pick between a shopping spree worth $600.00 through our Country Store catalog or a $500.00 cash prize. The second-prize winner will earn $300.00, and third prize is $200.00.
Each of the five runners-up will receive a $30.00 free merchandise certificate from Country Store.
